Fun foods often make a restaurant a destination, and we’re seeing a few establishments in the Eugene and Springfield area taking advantage of hot flavors and menu items. Here’s a few places we’ve spotted making trendy menu specials lately!
South Pine Bakery is known for its international flair and the Mango Sticky Rice Latte is no exception. Featuring mango puree and toasted rice and creamy milks, this drink is a winner for anyone who loves a bright fruity twist with earthy, roasted undertones. Their specials board features other hot trends such as banana bread, caramel miso, and ube lattes.
Mango Sticky Rice has been popular thanks to TikTok content creators, higher visibility of Thai cuisine, and a recent launch of the frozen version by Trader Joe’s.

Cinnamon Rolls are Rolling Through
Sourdough cinnamon rolls have been making the rounds of social media for Paper Plate BBQ. Big, gooey and loaded with local fruit and cream cheese frosting, it’s no wonder folks are making videos about these treats. The BBQ is pretty darn delicious as well. You can find Paper Plate BBQ on 5th Street at PLAY Eugene.
A new cottage bakery called Swirl of Sweden is also serving up big cinnamon roll delights in Junction City. Catch them in Velkommen Square when you roll into town.

Dubai Chocolate is Still Delicious
If you haven’t seen the thousands of takes on the ever-alluring Dubai-style chocolate, a combination of pistachio cream, chocolate, and toasted kataifi pastry in bar, sundae, or Trifle form, or as a flavor profile for all manner of treats… then you haven’t been on the internet for two years. Several Eugene establishments have taken advantage of this hot trend, including Sweet Life dessert shop and Blended at the 5th Street Market Alley.

Corndogs Are Nostalgic and Delightful
Street foods of all backgrounds are having a moment right now, highlighting the indulgent fried, salty, crunchy, and deeply satisfying foods on a stick, in a cup, or wrapped in flatbread. Korean corn dogs in particular have been popular online, and Cluckin Dog is serving them covered in Hot Cheetos or potatoes, and if you like, stuffed with mozzarella cheese. Don’t forget that Pronto Pups takes credit for putting corn dogs on the map, and they started right here in Oregon.

For a classic style, The Corndog Company of Willamette Valley has been making the rounds in their food truck, including winning best bite at the 2026 Chef’s Night Out, a beloved community fundraiser for Food for Lane County.
What other trendy foods have you found around Eugene? What have you seen online that you wish you could get here?
